Ava is the Blood Rose hero whose talent adds 10% to the attack of every Blood Rose hero you own, and that passive is worth more than anything she does on the field.
- Class: SUP
- Faction: Blood Rose (Assaulter troops)
- Rarity: purple (A)
- Arrived: the base roster
- In one line: a purple support whose talent buffs the whole faction’s attack

What Ava does in Last Z
Ava fights with chemistry. Chemical Reaction raises the damage of her normal attacks. Perilous Potion throws hazardous chemicals at an area for heavy damage, and its third star gives the potion a chance to poison on top. Attack Expert, her Global Effect, adds a flat amount to her own attack that grows with every skill level.
Her talent is why she’s on a Blood Rose player’s list at all. Faction Attack raises the attack of every Blood Rose hero by 10%. It’s a hero talent, so it unlocks the way the orange heroes’ talents do, at hero level 50 with four stars, and once it’s on it applies to Katrina, Sophia, Oliveira and the rest whether Ava marches or sits in the barracks.
So think of her the way you’d think of a piece of faction gear rather than a fifth squad member. She can fill a slot in a second formation, and she will, but the reason to level her is the 10% she hands the orange heroes who do the real fighting.
Is Ava worth it for F2P?
Yes, because she’s cheap and the payoff is wide. She comes through Hero Recruitment Tickets at the Club, the free pull every account runs, so a free player will have her early. Purple fragments arrive far faster than orange ones, which means four stars on Ava is a realistic target long before four stars on any orange hero, and the talent sits behind exactly that.
The honest limit is that the talent is the whole prize. Her own damage is purple-grade, and on a Blood Rose account the first formation fills with orange heroes quickly. Level her to 50, star her to four, and the 10% faction attack is yours for the rest of the game. Everything past that is optional.
Ava’s skills and stats
| Skill | Type | What it does | What each star adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chemical Reaction | Normal Attack Boost | Raises the damage factor of her normal attacks. Grows with skill level. | +45, +45, +45, then +60 and +105 to the damage factor |
| Perilous Potion | Active Skill | Throws hazardous chemicals at a specific area, dealing heavy damage to enemies there. | +90 damage factor, +90 damage factor, a chance to add poison damage, then +220 damage factor |
| Attack Expert | Global Effect | Adds a flat amount to her own attack. Grows with skill level. | Hero attack +50, +50, +100, +200, then +300 |
| Faction Attack | Exclusive Talent | Increases the hero ATK of the Blood Rose faction by 10%. | The talent itself; no star steps |
Her attack, defence and troop size climb with her level, stars, skill levels and gear, so the live figures are on her hero card in your own game. As a purple hero she starts below the orange roster and caps lower, which is why her talent, not her stats, is the reason to own her.
The upgrade order that gets the most out of her:
- Level her to 50 and get her to four stars. The faction talent needs both, and it’s the whole reason she’s here.
- Attack Expert next, if she fights in a second formation. Flat attack on a purple hero is the cheapest stat she has.
- Perilous Potion, then Chemical Reaction. Her own damage, for when she’s on the field.
Best build and gear for Ava
Hero gear fills four slots: Gun, Helmet, Armor and Boots. The Gun boosts attack, the Helmet attack and defence, Armor defence and troop HP, and Boots a mix of all three. Gear levels up with enhancement alloys and promotes with power cores.
Don’t spend cores on Ava. Her talent doesn’t read her gear, and every core she takes is one an orange hero doesn’t get. If she fills a slot in a second formation, hand-me-down gear from the first formation’s upgrades is the right level of investment.
How to get Ava fragments
Ava comes through Hero Recruitment Tickets at the Club, the standard pull, and she also turns up in the Warrior Battle Pass and the shop’s special offers. For a free player the Club is the route, and it’s a reliable one.
Her stars take purple fragments, which the game hands out far more freely than orange ones: recruitment pulls, daily missions and event rewards all feed them. Four stars is the milestone, because that’s where Faction Attack unlocks and the 10% starts applying to the whole faction.
Ava’s best formation and faction pairing
Her talent works whether she’s deployed or not, so formation is a question of whether she has a slot at all. In a first formation full of orange Blood Rose heroes, she doesn’t. In a second formation, a Blood Rose line-up still earns Oliveira’s per-hero bonus if Oliveira is in it, and Ava counts as one of the five.
The faction triangle applies to any squad she joins: Wings of Dawn beats Blood Rose, Blood Rose beats Guard of Order, and Guard of Order beats Wings of Dawn.
If she marches, keep the squad Blood Rose:
- Miranda, her purple opposite number, who carries the matching +10% faction defence talent.
- Vivian for creep fights, where her talent lets several troops hit the same target.
- Any orange Blood Rose hero your first formation can spare.
Ava vs the alternatives at the same role
| Hero | Faction | Rarity | What she’s for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ava | Blood Rose | purple | +10% attack to every Blood Rose hero |
| Miranda | Blood Rose | purple | +10% defence to every Blood Rose hero |
| Giselle | Blood Rose | blue | +5% attack to every Blood Rose hero, plus wood gathering |
| Leah | Guard of Order | purple | The same +10% attack talent for Guard of Order |
Ava and Miranda are a pair: one buffs the faction’s attack, the other its defence, and a Blood Rose account wants both at four stars. Giselle is the half-strength version of Ava’s talent on a blue hero, which makes her the stopgap until Ava is starred. Leah and Fiona carry Ava’s talent for the other two factions, which matters only if you run them.
Where she lands against the whole roster is on the tier list. For what to do with her in your first day, the beginner’s progression guide covers it.
