Full Preparedness runs every day in six four-hour blocks from 00:00 Apocalypse Time, each block with one of five themes, and you’re scored against a small group of players at your own shelter level: three point chests reset every block, three medal chests reset every day, and first place in your group at the end of the day is worth an orange fragment and 1,000 state points in a State Ruler week.
- Scope: solo; the game groups you with 8 to 12 players of similar Headquarters level for the day
- When: every day, blocks at 00:00, 04:00, 08:00, 12:00, 16:00 and 20:00 Apocalypse Time
- The rule that matters: the 08:00 theme repeats at 20:00, and on weekdays it’s the same theme as that day’s Alliance Duel
- What resets when: the three point chests every four hours, the medal chests and the ranking every day
- What it costs: nothing you weren’t going to spend anyway, if you spend it in the right block
What Full Preparedness is and when it runs
Five themes rotate through the day: Shelter Upgrade, Age of Science, Mod Vehicle Boost, Hero Initiative and Army Expansion. Six blocks and five themes means one theme runs twice each day, and it’s always the 08:00 one coming back at 20:00. The order changes with the day of the week, on a grid the game shows in the event’s Calendar button, and it’s the same every week.
| Day | 00:00 | 04:00 | 08:00 | 12:00 | 16:00 | 20:00 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | Shelter Upgrade | Age of Science | Mod Vehicle Boost | Hero Initiative | Army Expansion | Mod Vehicle Boost |
| Tuesday | Age of Science | Hero Initiative | Shelter Upgrade | Army Expansion | Mod Vehicle Boost | Shelter Upgrade |
| Wednesday | Hero Initiative | Army Expansion | Age of Science | Mod Vehicle Boost | Shelter Upgrade | Age of Science |
| Thursday | Army Expansion | Mod Vehicle Boost | Hero Initiative | Shelter Upgrade | Age of Science | Hero Initiative |
| Friday | Mod Vehicle Boost | Shelter Upgrade | Army Expansion | Age of Science | Hero Initiative | Army Expansion |
| Saturday | Age of Science | Mod Vehicle Boost | Hero Initiative | Shelter Upgrade | Army Expansion | Hero Initiative |
| Sunday | Mod Vehicle Boost | Shelter Upgrade | Army Expansion | Age of Science | Hero Initiative | Army Expansion |
Read the 08:00 column against the Alliance Duel week and the design shows itself. Monday’s duel day is Mod Vehicle Boost and Monday’s 08:00 and 20:00 blocks are Mod Vehicle Boost. Tuesday is Shelter Upgrade on both. Wednesday is Age of Science on both. Thursday is Hero Progression in the duel and Hero Initiative here. Friday’s duel day counts any speedup, and Friday’s 08:00 and 20:00 blocks are Army Expansion, where training speedups score. So twice a day on weekdays, from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 20:00 to midnight Apocalypse Time, one wrench, one speedup or one recruit scores in both events at once. Saturday and Sunday have no duel day to match, and the blocks run on their own.
The daily reset is 00:00 Apocalypse Time. The group you’re ranked against is drawn fresh each day from players near your shelter level, and the panel shows your rival of the day and your rank in the group.
How scoring works in Full Preparedness
Each theme has its own short list of actions, and the list is on the panel under “Perform any of the following actions to obtain Points.” These are the base values the game shows.
| Theme | Action | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Shelter Upgrade | Raise building power by 10 | 1 |
| Shelter Upgrade | Use 1 minute of construction speedup | 10 |
| Age of Science | Raise tech power by 10 | 1 |
| Age of Science | Use 1 minute of research speedup | 10 |
| Hero Initiative | 1 Prime Recruit | 400 |
| Hero Initiative | Consume 2,000 hero EXP | 1 |
| Army Expansion | Train or assemble 1 level-6 unit (higher levels pay more; a level-7 unit is 171) | 150 |
| Army Expansion | Use 1 minute of training speedup | 10 |
| Army Expansion | Promote units | by the unit |
| Mod Vehicle Boost | Consume 1 Golden Wrench | about 150 blueprints’ worth |
| Mod Vehicle Boost | Consume 1 Modification Blueprint | the base unit |
| Mod Vehicle Boost | Kill creeps, rally boomers | scales with the target’s level |
| Any theme | Buy a pack, per diamond spent | 30 |
Two things stand out. A speedup minute is worth ten points whatever the theme, so the four themes that run on speedups are the same job with different timers. And Mod Vehicle Boost is the odd one: the Golden Wrench is worth around 150 blueprints on its own, which is why wrenches are the item everyone saves, and the field kills pay by level, with a rallied boomer worth about double a creep. The wrench and creep figures on the panel have moved between seasons, so read your own panel for the exact number; the ratios hold.
The three point chests sit on a bar at the top of the panel with their thresholds, and the thresholds differ by theme. Army Expansion’s run at 7,500, 20,000 and 45,000 points; the speedup themes’ are lower, since a speedup minute is only ten points. The game shows a diamond figure on each chest, its valuation of the contents (about 500, 1,400 and 3,600 for the three), not a diamond payout.
What to do in each block of Full Preparedness
The whole skill is timing, and the timetable is already written above.
- Know the week’s two double-dip windows. 08:00 to 12:00 and 20:00 to midnight Apocalypse Time, Monday to Friday. Everything you’d spend for the Alliance Duel that day goes in one of those two blocks and scores twice.
- Hold the finish. A building or research that completes on its own scores nothing. Let the timer run into the matching block and finish it with a speedup inside the window, so the minutes count here and in the duel.
- Monday, Mod Vehicle Boost. Wrenches and blueprints at 08:00 or 20:00, the same hour you’d spend them for the duel anyway. If you’re on the map, rally boomers rather than solo creeps.
- Tuesday and Wednesday, Shelter and Science. Construction speedups Tuesday, research speedups Wednesday, in the window. Badges for the duel on Wednesday too; they don’t score here, but you’re already there.
- Thursday, Hero Initiative. Prime Recruits at 400 each are the fast way to a chest; hero EXP is the slow one. Save the recruitment tickets for Thursday’s window.
- Friday, Army Expansion. Time a training batch to land inside the window and finish it with training speedups. Promotions score by the unit.
- The weekend. No duel day to match, so the blocks are for the chests alone. A full account can still open three chests on a Saturday Hero block with a couple of Prime Recruits, and Sunday is stock-up day for the week.
- Check the ranking before the block ends. Rank is by the day’s total across all six blocks, and the group is small enough that a few hundred points moves you.
Full Preparedness rewards and what to spend them on
Three ladders pay you, on three clocks.
The point chests, every four hours. Each theme’s three chests carry the same shape: the first gives a Preparedness Medal, a handful of 5-minute speedups, 30 blue skill books and a chest each of wood, food and electricity; the second gives two medals, a Zent chest, 50 purple skill books, some 15-minute speedups and the resource chests; the third gives three medals, 100 orange skill books, more speedups, a Zent chest and the resource chests. Clear all three in a block and you’ve banked six medals and 100 orange skill books.
The medal chests, every day. Medals from the point chests fill a daily bar with three more chests on it, at 2, 8 and 18 medals.
| Medals | What’s in it |
|---|---|
| 2 | 1 Prime Recruitment Ticket, 2 purple hero fragments, 2 level-1 component boxes |
| 8 | 2 Prime Recruitment Tickets, 5 purple hero fragments, 5 common chip materials |
| 18 | 3 Prime Recruitment Tickets, 2 universal orange hero fragments, 3 advanced chip materials |
Eighteen medals is three full blocks in a day, or six blocks with two chests each. Two universal orange fragments every day you manage it is the most reliable orange income in the game for a player who isn’t buying.
The ranking, every day. First in your group gets a universal orange hero fragment, a purple decoration chest, 1,000 Modification Blueprints and 24 chests each of wood, food and electricity. Second gets the decoration chest, 800 blueprints and the resource chests; third a blue decoration chest and 600 blueprints; fourth and fifth 400 blueprints; sixth to twentieth 200. In a State Ruler week, first place also hands your state 1,000 points in the Invasion Right Contest.
What to do with it. The orange skill books go to the barracks skills that work every day (Katrina’s exploration, Sophia’s construction, Chinatsu’s duel points). The Prime Recruitment Tickets are the pull Katrina, Sophia and Chinatsu come from, so hold them until you know which you’re short. The universal orange fragments go to whichever hero the tier list says to star next. The blueprints and component boxes are Monday’s Mod Vehicle Boost in waiting.
Mistakes that cost points in Full Preparedness
- Spending at 06:00. The same wrench scores here and in the duel at 09:00, and only here at 06:00. Wait for the window.
- Letting a timer finish by itself. Zero points. Finish it with a speedup inside the matching block.
- Treating the wrench like a blueprint. It’s worth about 150 of them. Spend blueprints when you’re short of the chest and wrenches when you’re far from it.
- Chasing first place with purchases. First is a fragment, a decoration chest and blueprints. Eighteen medals, which you can reach with speedups you already own, pays two orange fragments.
- Skipping box 1. It’s a medal, and medals are the daily ladder. Every block you touch should at least clear the first chest.
- Running one theme all day. The chests reset every block, so three blocks with two chests each beats one block with three.
- Forgetting Saturday and Sunday. No duel to match, but the medal chests and the ranking still pay.
Is Full Preparedness worth it for a free player?
Yes, and it’s one of the quietest sources of orange fragments and orange skill books a free account has. Nothing here needs a purchase: speedups you earn from events, recruit tickets from the duel chests, wrenches from the Zombie Siege, training queues you were going to run anyway. The game is only asking you to spend them at 08:00 or 20:00 instead of whenever.
The honest ceiling is the group. You’re ranked against players at your shelter level, which keeps it fair, and a group of ten has nine other people who also want first. The medal chests don’t care about rank. Eighteen medals a day is six point chests, which is three blocks played properly, and that’s within reach of a free account that holds its speedups for the windows.
If you only play two blocks a day, make them the 08:00 and 20:00 ones on weekdays, because those are the two that score twice.
Full Preparedness sits under the Alliance Duel in the events schedule, the daily rhythm beneath the weekly one, and the beginner’s progression guide covers what to build before any of this matters.
