The Tyrant is the alliance’s twice-weekly rally boss: an R4 or R5 schedules it in the Event Center, summons it when the countdown ends, and the whole alliance has 15 minutes to rally it, with your personal damage paying Power Cores and the alliance’s total paying everyone resources.
- Scope: alliance only, and the alliance needs more than 20 members
- When: twice a week, at the Apocalypse Time your R4 or R5 sets; the panel shows a Battle Prep countdown to it
- How long: 15 minutes from the summons
- How you hit it: rallies only; a solo attack scores next to nothing
- What pays: your own damage (Power Cores, vouchers, alloy, diamonds) and the alliance’s total (resources and hero EXP for every member), with the top damage dealer multiplying the alliance reward
What The Tyrant is and when it runs
The Tyrant is a giant mutated zombie with a level, and it doesn’t spawn on its own. Leadership schedules it from the Event Center, where the panel shows the Tyrant’s level, a Battle Prep countdown and the start in Apocalypse Time, with an Engage Offline box you tick so your troops join rallies while you’re asleep. When the countdown ends an R4 or R5 summons it onto the map, near the alliance’s rally point, and the 15 minutes start.
It runs twice a week. The exact days and hours are the leadership’s call, which is why the sites that try to pin it to a clock disagree with each other; the Event Center on your own state is the only timetable that counts. A reminder set from the countdown is the whole scheduling skill.
The boss has a level, and the rewards scale with it: the higher the level, the better the alliance tiers. The game shows a recommended power beside the level (36,000 at level 13 on one panel). Nobody outside the game has published how the level is set, so take the level as read from the panel.
How scoring works in The Tyrant
Damage, in two pools.
| Pool | What it counts | What it pays |
|---|---|---|
| Your personal damage | Everything your troops deal across every rally you join in the 15 minutes | A ladder of personal tiers: vouchers, alloy, speedups, resource boxes, diamonds, and Power Cores from 2.8 million damage upward |
| The alliance’s total damage | The sum of everyone’s | A ladder of alliance tiers paid to every member: alloy, speedups, hero EXP, Zents and resources |
Then the multiplier. The member with the highest damage can multiply the alliance reward by anything from one to ten times, by how much they dealt, and the game shows the current multiplier when you tap the Tyrant during the event. That’s the one piece of the event that makes the strongest player’s rally everyone’s business.
Two rules shape the rallies. You can only be in one rally at a time, and a rally with fewer than seven or eight members is a waste of the slot: it marches, hits for little, and the troops come back while the fuller rallies are still filling. The Rally Square’s level sets the rally’s cap and its damage bonus, so the strongest player with the highest Rally Square leads, and everyone else fills.
The personal ladder’s Power Cores, by damage in a single event:
| Your damage | Power Cores |
|---|---|
| 2.8 to 4.3 million | 20 |
| 4.3 to 6.5 million | 30 |
| 6.5 to 9.5 million | 40 |
| 9.5 to 14.5 million | 60 |
| 14.5 to 19 million | 80 |
| 19 to 26 million | 100 |
| 26 to 34.5 million | 110 |
| 34.5 to 45.5 million | 120 |
| 45.5 to 57.5 million | 130 |
| 57.5 to 70 million | 140 |
| 70 to 100 million | 150 |
| 100 to 200 million | 170 |
| 200 to 350 million | 190 |
| 350 to 550 million | 210 |
| 550 to 750 million | 230 |
| 750 million to 1.1 billion | 250 |
| 1.1 billion and up | 260 to 285, by band |
The figure is the band’s payout, not a running total. The game writes billions as G on the reward screen.
What to do before and during The Tyrant
- When it’s scheduled: set the reminder and tick Engage Offline. Offline joining puts your troops into unfilled rallies when they’re about to launch, which is the only way an overnight Tyrant pays you.
- Five minutes before: everything home. Recall marches, don’t start a boomer, a dig or a gathering trip; troops that are out can’t join, and a running boomer blocks offline joining.
- Turn on War Frenzy. Attack a base outside your alliance and cancel the march the moment it leaves; the buff runs ten minutes, so start it just before the summons and refresh it halfway.
- Fill before you create. Join the rally at the bottom of the list first, the oldest one, so rallies launch full and in order. Start your own only when every open one is full.
- Strongest player, strongest Rally Square, leads. Everyone else fills that rally first, because the top damage dealer sets the multiplier on the whole alliance’s reward.
- Never launch under seven. A short rally wastes the slot and the troops. Wait for the fill, or join another.
- If you’ve maxed your tiers, host. Past the top of your ladder, start rallies instead of joining them so the offline members have somewhere to land.
- Heal in batches while rallies fill. Short heals during the window, long ones after.
The Tyrant rewards and what to spend them on
Power Cores are the reason the event exists. They promote hero gear, and the Tyrant is the steady source of them; an alliance that runs both weekly spawns puts a mid-power member in the hundreds of cores a week. Hold them for Thursday: Hero Progression day in the Alliance Duel pays 400 points per core consumed, and the week’s cores spent on Thursday are a chest on their own.
The alliance tiers pay every member alloy, speedups, hero EXP, Zents and resources, scaled by the total damage and multiplied by the top player’s result. The personal tiers add gift vouchers for the decoration shop, enhancement alloy, resource choice boxes and diamonds, and on some states steel from the highest bands. Check the reward screen on your own state before counting on steel; the item set differs.
What to do with the rest. Alloy goes into gear enhancement alongside the cores. The vouchers are the decoration shop’s currency. The diamonds are the diamond guide‘s business, and the hero EXP from the alliance tier goes to the heroes who led the rallies.
Mistakes that cost points in The Tyrant
- Attacking solo. Rally damage is the event. A lone march scores almost nothing and ties up the troops.
- Starting a rally when three are open and half-full. Fill from the bottom; a new rally splits the alliance across more slots than it can fill.
- Launching at five members. Seven or eight is the floor. Under that, the slot and the troops are wasted.
- Leaving a boomer running. Troops out on the map can’t join, and a boomer stops offline joining.
- Forgetting Engage Offline. The overnight spawn pays nothing to a base that isn’t ticked.
- Burning Power Cores on a Tuesday. They’re 400 duel points each on Thursday.
- Skipping it because your damage is small. The alliance tier pays every member on the total, and your troops in a full rally add to it.
Is The Tyrant worth it for a free player?
Yes, and it’s the event where power matters least to what you take home. The alliance tiers pay every member on the alliance’s total, whatever your own damage, and your troops in a full rally add to that total. The personal ladder’s first rungs start at 20,000 damage, which any formation in a rally reaches, and the Power Cores start at 2.8 million, within reach of a mid-power account joining full rallies on a leveled Tyrant.
The honest limit is the multiplier. The alliance reward’s one-to-ten multiplier comes from the top damage dealer, so an alliance’s Tyrant income depends on having one strong player with a high Rally Square and everyone filling their rally. For a free player the lever is to be a reliable filler: Engage Offline ticked, troops home, in the bottom rally first, every spawn.
The Tyrant sits in the events schedule as the alliance’s twice-weekly rally, and its Power Cores feed Thursday of the Alliance Duel; the beginner’s progression guide covers what to build before any of this matters.
