Survival Saga starts every Sunday and runs three days: you pick one difficulty for the round, nine Normal tiers or six Advanced, hunt Saga Zombies on the world map solo or by alliance rally, and clear milestones of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 kills per level for fragments, skill books and diamonds that scale with the tier you chose.
- Scope: solo progress, with alliance rallies allowed on every zombie
- When: from Sunday, three days
- The rule that decides it: one difficulty per round, locked once chosen; clear it and the next tier opens next round
- What you fight: Saga Zombies on the map, the one at your level gating the next
- What it pays: per-milestone chests at every level, and a completion reward for the whole difficulty
What Survival Saga is and when it runs
Survival Saga opens on Sunday, the duel’s rest day, and runs three days. The Event Center panel shows the two modes, Normal with nine difficulty tiers and Advanced with six, each tier with a recommended power beside it. You pick one, and the game’s rules say the rest: “Once chosen, the difficulty cannot be changed for this event round. After clearing all challenges of the selected difficulty, you may choose a higher difficulty in the next round.”
The hunt is on the world map. Saga Zombies appear at your current level; defeating the one at your level opens the next level, and each level has a milestone track of kills to claim. You can attack them solo or rally them with the alliance, and the panel says so in its own words: “Feel free to rally with allies if you need help.”
The recommended power climbs fast. Normal I asks for about a million, Normal III for two million, Normal IX for 23 million; Advanced starts at 55 million and ends near 140 million.
How scoring works in Survival Saga
There’s no points table. Two things count: kills against each level’s milestones, and whether you finish every level of the difficulty you chose.
| Track | Normal | Advanced |
|---|---|---|
| Milestones per level | 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 Saga Zombies | 2, 5 and 10 Saga Zombies |
| What each level pays | Hero EXP chests, fragments, skill books, diamonds | Resource chests, badges, speedups, steel, fragments |
| How it scales | Every figure grows with the level: level 1 pays 20 diamonds a milestone, level 5 pays 100, level 9 pays 180 | Levels 4 to 6 triple the steel and EXP of levels 1 to 3 |
| The completion reward | Paid once for clearing all nine levels of the tier you chose | Paid once for clearing all six |
Read it as two decisions. The difficulty you choose sets the size of every reward in the round, and it’s locked. The level you reach inside it sets how many of the milestones you collect. A player who picks a tier they can’t finish still collects the milestones of the levels they clear; they just forfeit the completion reward and stay on that tier next round.
What to do in each stage of Survival Saga
- Pick the tier you’ll finish, not the tier you’d like. Use the hardest zombie you cleared last round as the measure, and if you’re going above your solo strength, arrange the alliance help before you pick, because the pick is locked.
- Solo while you can. Early levels fall to one formation, and soloing them saves the fuel the rallies will need later.
- Turn Auto-return off for the easy levels, and back on when a zombie does more than half your health in damage. Auto-return wastes trips on zombies you’d have beaten.
- War Frenzy on. Attack a base outside your alliance, cancel the march the moment it leaves, and you’ve got ten minutes of extra damage.
- When you stall, rally. Call the alliance for the zombie that stopped you. A rally kills what a formation can’t, and the milestone counts the same.
- Leave time for the rallies. Three days sounds long; the last two levels of a high tier are the slow ones. Start the rallies on day two, not in the final hour.
- Claim as you go. The milestone chests are claimed per level; the completion reward lands when the last level clears.
Survival Saga rewards and what to spend them on
The completion reward is the prize, and it scales with the difficulty:
| Normal tier | Universal orange fragments | Orange skill books | Universal purple fragments | Purple skill books |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| I | 4 | 20 | 4 | 140 |
| II | 6 | 30 | 6 | 200 |
| III | 8 | 50 | 8 | 200 |
| IV | 10 | 70 | 10 | 260 |
| V | 12 | 80 | 12 | 340 |
| VI | 16 | 100 | 16 | 400 |
| VII | 20 | 120 | 20 | 460 |
| VIII | 22 | 130 | 22 | 540 |
| IX | 24 | 150 | 24 | 600 |
The Advanced tiers trade the purple for badges and steel: 15 universal orange fragments, 500 badges and 30,000 steel at Advanced I, climbing a fragment and a hundred badges a tier to 20 fragments, 1,000 badges and 90,000 steel at Advanced VI, with purple resource chests alongside.
On top of the completion reward, every level pays its milestones. At Normal level 3 the track is 15 hero EXP chests and 60 diamonds at each of the five milestones, with blue fragments and blue skill books on the first two, purple fragments and purple skill books on the next two, and 8 orange fragments and 50 orange skill books at the thirtieth kill. The same shape repeats at every level with bigger figures.
What to do with it. The universal orange fragments go to whichever hero the tier list puts next to star, and a Normal IX clear is 24 of them in a weekend. The orange skill books go to the barracks skills that work every day (Katrina’s exploration, Sophia’s construction, Chinatsu’s duel points). The diamonds are the diamond guide‘s business, and the badges from Advanced go into Alliance Recognition for the Alliance Duel.
Mistakes that cost you in Survival Saga
- Picking a tier you can’t finish. It’s locked for the round, and the completion reward is the biggest single payout.
- Picking a tier below what you cleared. The rewards scale with the tier. If you finished III last round, IV is the pick.
- Rallying what you could solo. Fuel spent on level 2 is fuel the level 8 rally doesn’t have.
- Leaving Auto-return on all weekend. It turns back on zombies you’d have beaten.
- Starting the rallies on the last day. The top levels need several, and the alliance needs notice.
- Skipping the milestones to chase the clear. The 30-kill milestone at a mid level pays orange fragments on its own.
Is Survival Saga worth it for a free player?
Yes, and it’s one of the best weekends in the game for one. Nothing here is bought: the Saga Zombies are on the map, the rallies are the alliance’s, and the completion reward of a tier you can actually clear is universal orange fragments and orange skill books, the two things a free account is always short of. A player who clears Normal III solo in a weekend walks off with 8 orange fragments, 50 orange books and the milestone diamonds; the same player a few months on at Normal VI takes double.
The honest limit is the Advanced tiers, which start at 55 million recommended power and are a late-game alliance’s weekend. For everyone else the ladder is the Normal tiers, one step up each round, and the discipline is the pick: the tier you’ll finish.
