Danger Lurks in Last Z: Survival Shooter

Danger Lurks in Last Z: the daily Boomer rallies, the five tasks from two launches to thirty rallies, Auto Teaming Up, and the orange fragment.

Danger Lurks is the daily rally event in the Event Center: Boomers and Berserk Zombies appear on the world map, your alliance rallies them, and five tasks pay you for launching two and five rallies and for launching or joining ten, twenty and thirty, with a completion reward of a universal orange hero fragment and 200 badges every day you clear all five.

  • Scope: alliance rallies, scored per player
  • When: daily; the panel shows a Reward Refresh countdown to the reset at 00:00 Apocalypse Time
  • What counts: rallies you launch, and rallies you launch or join
  • The tool: Auto Teaming Up, which joins your troops to alliance rallies for you
  • What it costs: stamina for the boomers, nothing else

What Danger Lurks is and when it runs

The panel’s own words: “Boomers are attacking survivors. Hurry and defeat them to reclaim the supplies.” Every day the map carries Boomers and Berserk Zombies (the names change with the season; in the frozen season they’re Frostbanes, in the dinosaur one a Stegosaurus), and the Event Center’s Danger Lurks entry tracks how many rallies you’ve launched and joined against them. The tasks reset daily; a countdown on the panel shows the next refresh.

The same Boomers score elsewhere. A rallied Boomer is an Alliance Duel action on Monday’s Mod Vehicle Boost (1,600 to 2,000 points by level) and a Full Preparedness action in every Mod Vehicle Boost block, so a Danger Lurks run on a Monday morning pays three ways at once.

How scoring works in Danger Lurks

Five tasks, in the panel’s order:

TaskPays
Launch 2 rallies4 packs of 10 fuel cans, 2 resource choice boxes
Launch 5 rallies6 packs of 10 fuel cans, 2 purple hero fragments
Launch or join 10 rallies1 blue EXP chest, 1 blue Zent chest
Launch or join 20 rallies3 EXP chests, 1 Zent chest
Launch or join 30 rallies5 EXP chests, 3 Zent chests
Clear all five10 random green chip chests, 1 universal orange hero fragment, 5 purple hero fragments, 200 badges, 5 blue Zent chests

Read the counters carefully. Your own launches count toward the launch-or-join tasks, so five launches plus twenty-five joins is thirty, not thirty-five. Auto Teaming Up fills the join counter while you’re away, but it can’t launch for you; the two launch tasks are yours to do by hand.

The level of the Boomer doesn’t change the task count. A level-1 Boomer and a level-10 one are each one rally. The level matters for the duel and Full Preparedness points the kill carries, and for the stamina it costs.

What to do each day in Danger Lurks

  1. Open the Event Center and turn Auto Teaming Up on. Your troops join alliance rallies on their own from then on, and the join counter fills while you build.
  2. Launch five rallies yourself. Two for the first task, five for the second. Pick Boomers your alliance will fill; a rally nobody joins is a slow kill.
  3. Join to thirty. Whatever Auto Teaming Up hasn’t covered, join by hand from the alliance’s rally list.
  4. On a Monday, do it in a Mod Vehicle Boost window. The same Boomer kills score 1,600 to 2,000 duel points each and the Full Preparedness block at 08:00 or 20:00, so the day’s thirty rallies land in three ladders.
  5. Claim before the refresh. The completion reward is claimed, not mailed; the countdown on the panel is your deadline.
  6. Stop at the completion reward unless you’ve time. Thirty is the last task. Past it, the Boomers are duel points only.

Danger Lurks rewards and what to spend them on

The completion reward is the prize: a universal orange hero fragment and 200 badges, every day. Over a week that’s seven orange fragments and 1,400 badges for rallies the alliance was running anyway. The task rungs add 100 fuel cans, purple fragments, EXP and Zent chests on the way.

What to do with it. The orange fragment goes to whichever hero the tier list puts next to star; a daily fragment is the steadiest orange income a free account has. The badges go into Alliance Recognition, which doubles every duel rate. The fuel pays for the Boomers themselves. The purple fragments go to the purple faction talents the tier list rates as first-month work.

Mistakes that cost points in Danger Lurks

  • Leaving Auto Teaming Up off. The join counter stays at zero while the alliance rallies without you.
  • Expecting Auto Teaming Up to launch. It joins. The two launch tasks are yours.
  • Counting to thirty-five. Launches count toward the join tasks. Five launches and twenty-five joins is done.
  • Stopping at twenty. The completion reward needs all five tasks, and the fragment is in the completion reward.
  • Running it on a Wednesday afternoon when Monday morning was free. The same rallies on Mod Vehicle Boost score the duel and Full Preparedness too.
  • Missing the refresh. The completion reward is claimed from the panel; the countdown is the deadline.

Is Danger Lurks worth it for a free player?

Yes, and it’s one of the most reliable fragments in the game. An orange fragment and 200 badges a day for thirty rallies, most of which Auto Teaming Up does for you, is the kind of income that stars a hero over a season without a diamond spent. The task rungs pay the fuel the Boomers cost.

The honest limit is the alliance. Thirty rallies a day needs an alliance that rallies Boomers daily, and a quiet alliance is a quiet counter. The two launches are always yours to make; the twenty-five joins are the alliance’s rhythm. In an active one, this is the easiest fragment of the day.

Danger Lurks sits in the events schedule as the daily rally under Monday of the Alliance Duel, and the beginner’s progression guide covers what to build before any of this matters.
