Oliveira in Last Z: Survival Shooter

Oliveira in Last Z: the Blood Rose squad talent, her 70% Assaulter training skill, how to build around her, and the F2P verdict.

Oliveira is the hero a Blood Rose squad is built around: her talent pays the whole troop +5% attack and defence for every Blood Rose hero deployed, and her third skill trains Assaulters 70% faster for the entire account.

  • Class: DPS
  • Faction: Blood Rose (Assaulter troops)
  • Rarity: orange (S)
  • Arrived: Season 1, as a season hero
  • In one line: the Blood Rose squad bonus, with a training-speed skill for the base

Skill numbers on this page are the level 30 values, which is the cap, read from the game in the Dinosaur Origin season (Season 4 where Desert counts, Season 3 where it doesn’t).

What Oliveira does in Last Z

Three of her four skills work the same way Katrina’s and Sophia’s do. Fatal Blow raises the damage of her normal attacks. Blade Storm drops a rotating blade on a spot you pick and holds it there for four seconds at a damage factor of 2400, which makes her one of the few heroes whose active skill is an area you choose rather than a target she picks. Gifted Girl is her Global Effect: Assaulter Camp training speed +70% at the cap, account-wide, whether she marches or not.

Her talent is where she stops being one more attacker. Potential Unleashed gives the troop +5% attack and +5% defence for every Blood Rose hero deployed, and when all five slots are Blood Rose it adds +10% troop capacity on top. That’s the squad bonus itself. A Blood Rose line-up without her is leaving the biggest reason to run one faction on the table.

So she’s two investments in one. For your base, she’s the hero who turns Assaulter training time into something you stop noticing. For your squad, she’s the slot that makes the other four worth matching.

Oliveira’s best formation and faction pairing

A formation carries five heroes and their troops, and Blood Rose heroes field Assaulters. Oliveira’s talent counts every Blood Rose hero beside her, so the first rule of building around her is simple: fill the other four slots from her own faction. At five, the troop collects +25% attack and defence from her alone, plus the +10% capacity.

The rest of the faction stacks on top. Selena’s talent gives every Assaulter unit +10% damage whether or not she’s deployed. Bella’s gives the troop +10% HP when all five are Blood Rose. Katrina brings a defender’s class and her own attack skills, and Sophia and Yu Chan bring damage. The faction triangle still applies: Wings of Dawn beats Blood Rose, Blood Rose beats Guard of Order, and Guard of Order beats Wings of Dawn, so this squad is at its best against Guard of Order and at a disadvantage against Wings of Dawn.

Who to put beside her, keeping the squad Blood Rose:

  • Katrina as the defender, with attack skills of her own.
  • Selena for the Assaulter damage every troop in the squad collects.
  • Sophia or Yu Chan for damage: Sophia if you want her construction skill levelled anyway, Yu Chan for raw hitting power.
  • Bella for the fifth slot if you have her, for the troop HP bonus that only switches on at five Blood Rose heroes.

If your Blood Rose roster is thinner than five, keep Oliveira in regardless. Her bonus pays per hero, so three Blood Rose heroes is still +15% attack and defence, which no mixed squad gets.

Oliveira’s skills and stats

SkillTypeUnlocks atWhat it does at level 30What each star adds
Fatal BlowNormal Attack Boosthero level 1Increases normal attacks’ damage factor to 1500.+90, +90, +90, then +120 and +210 to the damage factor
Blade StormActive Skillhero level 20Places a rotating blade at the designated location, damaging enemies within range at damage factor 2400, lasting 4 seconds.+150 damage factor, duration +1 second, +150 damage factor, a bleeding effect, then +300 damage factor
Gifted GirlGlobal Effecthero level 30Increases Assaulter Camp’s training speed by 70%, account-wide.Training speed +20%, Assaulter DEF +10%, Assaulter training resource consumption -5%, Assaulter ATK +10%, then the ATK and DEF boosts apply to all unit types
Potential UnleashedExclusive Talenthero level 50 and 4 starsFor every Blood Rose hero deployed, the troop’s ATK and DEF increase by 5%. With 5 Blood Rose heroes, troop capacity +10%.The talent itself; no star steps

Her attack, defence and troop size climb with her level, stars, skill levels and gear, so the live figures are on her hero card in your own game. As an orange hero she starts well above a purple one and caps higher.

The upgrade order that gets the most out of her:

  1. Level her to 30. Gifted Girl switches on there, and the training-speed bonus is account-wide from that moment.
  2. Skill books into Gifted Girl. Each level is more Assaulter training speed, up to 70%.
  3. Stars, for the Gifted Girl bonuses. The first star is +20% training speed, and the second and fourth add Assaulter defence and attack that your troops carry into every fight.
  4. Level 50 and four stars for Potential Unleashed. If she leads your Blood Rose squad, this is the one that matters most and it’s worth the fragments.
  5. Blade Storm, then Fatal Blow. Both matter only when she’s in the squad.

Best build and gear for Oliveira

Hero gear fills four slots: Gun, Helmet, Armor and Boots. The Gun boosts attack, the Helmet attack and defence, Armor defence and troop HP, and Boots a mix of all three. Gear levels up with enhancement alloys and promotes with power cores, and promotion is where the big stat jumps live.

Oliveira’s own damage comes from Fatal Blow and Blade Storm, so if she fights, the Gun comes first and the Helmet second. But her talent doesn’t read her stats at all; it reads how many Blood Rose heroes stand beside her. If she’s in your squad for the talent and the squad’s damage comes from Yu Chan or Sophia, her gear can wait behind theirs without the squad losing anything.

If she’s only your training-speed skill and never marches, give her no gear. Levels and skill books are the whole investment.

How to get Oliveira fragments

Oliveira is a season hero, and the sources that track her agree on the route: the Warrior Battle Pass and the special offers that rotate through the shop. She isn’t a standard recruitment pull, so for a free player she’s a hero you plan for when her pass comes round rather than one you’ll stumble into.

Once she’s unlocked, the orange fragments the game pays out on a schedule are what you’ll feed her. Most of them are universal and work on any S hero; a few are tied to one hero, so check the item before you count on it.

  • Daily Tasks. 150 points on the Daily Tasks page pays one orange fragment.
  • Full Preparedness. 18 medals trade for two orange fragments.
  • Gold Trucks. Sending and looting them is the steady source most players overlook.
  • Weekly gifts. Six orange fragments a week, claimed, not earned.
  • The Z Points store sells S fragments five at a time for diamonds. The diamond guide covers whether that’s a good use of them.
  • VIP 10 adds daily orange fragments, a route for spenders rather than a plan.

Four stars is the milestone that matters most for her, because that’s where the squad talent unlocks.

Is Oliveira worth it for F2P?

If you have her, yes, twice over. Gifted Girl is a Global Effect that needs nothing but hero level 30 and skill books, and 70% faster Assaulter training at the cap is the kind of bonus that compounds every day you play. Her talent is the second reason, and it’s the stronger one for anyone running a Blood Rose squad.

The honest caveat is getting her. She comes through the battle pass and shop offers, not through the free recruitment pool, so a free player either waits for her pass to come round or builds the Blood Rose squad without her for now. If that’s you, Katrina and Selena carry the faction until Oliveira arrives, and the squad bonus is the thing you’ll feel the day she does.

Oliveira vs the alternatives at the same role

HeroFactionRarityWhat she’s for
OliveiraBlood RoseorangeThe Blood Rose squad bonus, plus Assaulter training speed for the base
ScarlettWings of DawnorangeThe same talent for Wings of Dawn, plus Shooter training speed
EvelynGuard of OrderorangeThe same talent for Guard of Order, plus Rider training speed

This is the cleanest comparison on the roster, because the three of them are the same hero in three colours. Each carries the per-faction-hero squad bonus and each carries a 70% training-speed skill for her faction’s troop type. The only question is which faction you run. If it’s Blood Rose, Oliveira is the one, and the other two are the reason your rivals’ squads hit as hard as yours.

Within her own faction, no other hero does what her talent does. Sophia, Selena and Yu Chan bring damage or a different account skill; none of them makes the other four heroes stronger by standing next to them.

Where she lands against the whole roster is on the tier list. For what to do with her in your first day, the beginner’s progression guide covers it.
