Scarlett is the hero a Wings of Dawn squad is built around: her talent pays the troop +5% attack and defence for every Wings of Dawn hero deployed, and her third skill trains Shooters 70% faster for the whole account.
- Class: DPS
- Faction: Wings of Dawn (Shooter troops)
- Rarity: orange (S)
- Arrived: Season 1, as a season hero
- In one line: the Wings of Dawn squad bonus, with a training-speed skill for the base
Skill numbers on this page are the level 30 values, which is the cap, read from the game in the Dinosaur Origin season (Season 4 where Desert counts, Season 3 where it doesn’t).

What Scarlett does in Last Z
Scarlett fires an energy cannon. Shadow Assault raises the damage of her normal attacks to a damage factor of 1500 at the cap. EM Pulse is her active: she energizes the weapon and releases a powerful energy pulse forward at damage factor 2400, and her stars split it, strengthen it and add a second pulse. Power of Dominance is her Global Effect: Shooter Camp training speed +70% at the cap, account-wide, whether she marches or not.
Her talent is what makes her the centre of a Wings of Dawn line-up. Potential Unleashed gives the troop +5% attack and +5% defence for every Wings of Dawn hero deployed, and when all five slots are Wings of Dawn it adds +10% troop capacity. That’s the squad bonus itself, the same design Oliveira carries for Blood Rose and Evelyn for Guard of Order.
So she’s two investments: the hero who makes Shooter training time disappear, and the slot that makes the other four Wings of Dawn heroes worth matching.
Scarlett’s best formation and faction pairing
A formation carries five heroes and their troops, and Wings of Dawn heroes field Shooters. Scarlett’s talent counts every Wings of Dawn hero beside her, so the first rule is to fill the other four slots from her faction. At five, the troop collects +25% attack and defence from her alone, plus the capacity bonus.
The rest of the faction stacks on top: Nyx’s talent gives every Shooter +10% damage whether or not she’s deployed, and Alma’s gives +10% troop HP at five. The faction triangle applies: Wings of Dawn beats Blood Rose, Blood Rose beats Guard of Order, and Guard of Order beats Wings of Dawn, so this squad is at its best against Blood Rose and at a disadvantage against Guard of Order.
Who to put beside her, keeping the squad Wings of Dawn:
- Laura as the defender, with attack skills of her own.
- Nyx for the Shooter damage every troop collects.
- Amelia or Queenie for damage: Amelia if her research skill is levelled anyway, Queenie for the Season 4 hitting power.
- Alma for the fifth slot if you have her, for the troop HP at five.
With fewer than five Wings of Dawn heroes, keep Scarlett in regardless. Her bonus pays per hero, so three is still +15% attack and defence.
Scarlett’s skills and stats
| Skill | Type | Unlocks at | What it does at level 30 | What each star adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shadow Assault | Normal Attack Boost | hero level 1 | Increases normal attacks’ damage factor to 1500. | +90, +90, +90, then +120 and +210 to the damage factor |
| EM Pulse | Active Skill | hero level 20 | Energizes the weapon, releasing a powerful energy pulse forward at damage factor 2400. | +150 damage factor, the pulse splits into 2 at 30% less damage, +150 damage factor, energy pulse +1, then +300 damage factor |
| Power of Dominance | Global Effect | hero level 30 | Increases the Shooter Camp’s training speed by 70%, account-wide. | Training speed +20%, Shooter DEF +10%, Shooter training resource consumption -5%, Shooter ATK +10%, then the ATK and DEF boosts apply to all unit types |
| Potential Unleashed | Exclusive Talent | hero level 50 and 4 stars | For every Wings of Dawn hero deployed, the troop’s ATK and DEF increase by 5%. With 5 Wings of Dawn heroes, troop capacity +10%. | The talent itself; no star steps |
Her attack, defence and troop size climb with her level, stars, skill levels and gear, so the live figures are on her hero card in your own game. As an orange hero she starts well above a purple one and caps higher.
The upgrade order that gets the most out of her:
- Level her to 30. Power of Dominance switches on there.
- Skill books into Power of Dominance. Faster Shooter training for the account, up to 70%.
- Stars, for the Power of Dominance bonuses. The first is +20% training speed; the second and fourth add Shooter defence and attack your troops carry into every fight.
- Level 50 and four stars for Potential Unleashed. If she leads your Wings of Dawn squad, this is the one that matters most.
- EM Pulse, then Shadow Assault. Her own damage.
Best build and gear for Scarlett
Hero gear fills four slots: Gun, Helmet, Armor and Boots. The Gun boosts attack, the Helmet attack and defence, Armor defence and troop HP, and Boots a mix of all three. Gear levels up with enhancement alloys and promotes with power cores.
Her own damage comes from the pulse and her normal attacks, so if she fights, the Gun comes first and the Helmet second. Her talent doesn’t read her stats; it reads how many Wings of Dawn heroes stand beside her. If the squad’s damage comes from Queenie or Amelia, Scarlett’s gear can wait behind theirs. If she’s only your training skill and never marches, give her none.
How to get Scarlett fragments
Scarlett is a season hero, and the sources that track her agree on the route: the Warrior Battle Pass and the special offers that rotate through the shop. She isn’t a standard recruitment pull.
Once she’s unlocked, the orange fragments the game pays out on a schedule are what you’ll feed her. Most of them are universal and work on any S hero; a few are tied to one hero, so check the item before you count on it.
- Daily Tasks. 150 points on the Daily Tasks page pays one orange fragment.
- Full Preparedness. 18 medals trade for two orange fragments.
- Gold Trucks. Sending and looting them is the steady source most players overlook.
- Weekly gifts. Six orange fragments a week, claimed, not earned.
- The Z Points store sells S fragments five at a time for diamonds. The diamond guide covers whether that’s a good use of them.
- VIP 10 adds daily orange fragments, a route for spenders rather than a plan.
Four stars is the milestone that matters most for her, because that’s where the squad talent unlocks.
Is Scarlett worth it for F2P?
If you have her, yes, twice over: the training skill from level 30, and the squad talent for any Wings of Dawn account. The caveat is getting her, since she comes through the battle pass and shop offers rather than the free pool. A free player either waits for her pass to come round or builds the Wings of Dawn squad with Laura and Nyx until she arrives, and the squad bonus is what you’ll feel the day she does.
Scarlett vs the alternatives at the same role
| Hero | Faction | Rarity | What she’s for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scarlett | Wings of Dawn | orange | The Wings of Dawn squad bonus, plus Shooter training speed |
| Oliveira | Blood Rose | orange | The same talent for Blood Rose, plus Assaulter training speed |
| Evelyn | Guard of Order | orange | The same talent for Guard of Order, plus Rider training speed |
The three of them are the same hero in three colours: the per-faction-hero squad bonus and a 70% training-speed skill for the faction’s troop type. The only question is which faction you run. For Wings of Dawn, Scarlett is the one.
Where she lands against the whole roster is on the tier list. For what to do with her in your first day, the beginner’s progression guide covers it.
