Miranda is the purple Blood Rose defender whose talent adds 10% to the defence of every Blood Rose hero you own, and that makes her worth four stars on any Blood Rose account.
- Class: DEF
- Faction: Blood Rose (Assaulter troops)
- Rarity: purple (A)
- Arrived: the base roster
- In one line: a purple defender whose talent buffs the whole faction’s defence

What Miranda does in Last Z
Miranda is a gunner who holds a line. Penetrating Bullets raises the damage of her normal attacks. Rapid Shooting sprays bullets at the enemies ahead with a chance to stun them, and her stars make the stun more likely and then longer. Defense Expert, her Global Effect, adds a flat amount to her own defence that grows with every skill level, which is the skill that makes her a defender rather than a purple attacker.
Her talent is the reason she matters beyond her own squad. Faction Attack, as the game names it despite what it does, raises the defence of every Blood Rose hero by 10%. It unlocks at hero level 50 with four stars, and once it’s on it applies to the whole faction whether Miranda is deployed or not.
She’s the mirror of Ava. Ava’s talent buffs Blood Rose attack, Miranda’s buffs Blood Rose defence, and a Blood Rose account wants both switched on.
Miranda’s skills and stats
| Skill | Type | What it does | What each star adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Penetrating Bullets | Normal Attack Boost | Raises the damage factor of her normal attacks. Grows with skill level. | +45, +45, +45, then +60 and +105 to the damage factor |
| Rapid Shooting | Active Skill | Sprays bullets wildly at the enemies ahead, with a chance to stun the targets. | +90 damage factor, +90 damage factor, a higher stun chance, +200 damage factor, then stun duration +1 second |
| Defense Expert | Global Effect | Adds a flat amount to her own defence. Grows with skill level. | Hero defence +50, +50, +100, +200, then +300 |
| Faction Attack (the game’s own name; the effect is defence) | Exclusive Talent | Increases the hero DEF of the Blood Rose faction by 10%. | The talent itself; no star steps |
Her attack, defence and troop size climb with her level, stars, skill levels and gear, so the live figures are on her hero card in your own game. As a purple hero she starts below the orange roster and caps lower.
The upgrade order that gets the most out of her:
- Level her to 50 and get her to four stars. The talent needs both.
- Defense Expert next, if she holds a slot in a second formation. It’s the skill that lets her take hits.
- Rapid Shooting, then Penetrating Bullets. Her own output, for when she fights.
Is Miranda worth it for F2P?
Yes, for the same reason Ava is. She comes through the Club’s standard recruitment, purple fragments arrive quickly, and four stars on her is a target a free player reaches long before four stars on any orange hero. Behind that milestone sits a permanent 10% defence for every Blood Rose hero, which is the kind of bonus you feel most in the fights you nearly lose.
What she isn’t is a first-formation defender once Katrina is starred. Her stats are purple-grade. Her job is the talent, and a slot in a second formation where a defender with a stun is useful.
How to get Miranda fragments
Miranda comes through Hero Recruitment Tickets at the Club, and she also turns up in the Warrior Battle Pass and the shop’s special offers. The Club is the free route and a dependable one.
Her stars take purple fragments, which the game hands out far more freely than orange ones. Four stars is the milestone, because that’s where the talent unlocks.
Best build and gear for Miranda
Hero gear fills four slots: Gun, Helmet, Armor and Boots. Armor boosts defence and troop HP, the Helmet attack and defence, the Gun attack, and Boots a mix of all three. Gear levels up with enhancement alloys and promotes with power cores.
Her talent doesn’t read her gear, so cores belong to the orange heroes. If she fills a slot in a second formation, hand-me-down gear is the right investment, and if you have a choice of pieces, Armor and Helmet suit a defender with a stun better than the Gun.
Miranda’s best formation and faction pairing
Her talent works from the barracks, so formation is about whether she has a slot. In a Blood Rose second formation she’s the defender, and she still counts toward Oliveira’s per-hero bonus if Oliveira is in that squad. The faction triangle applies to any squad she joins: Wings of Dawn beats Blood Rose, Blood Rose beats Guard of Order, and Guard of Order beats Wings of Dawn.
If she marches, keep the squad Blood Rose:
- Ava, her purple opposite number, with the matching +10% faction attack talent.
- Vivian for creep fights, where her talent lets several troops hit the same target.
- Any orange Blood Rose hero your first formation can spare.
Miranda vs the alternatives at the same role
| Hero | Faction | Rarity | What she’s for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Miranda | Blood Rose | purple | +10% defence to every Blood Rose hero, and a stun |
| Ava | Blood Rose | purple | +10% attack to every Blood Rose hero |
| Audrey | Blood Rose | blue | +5% defence to every Blood Rose hero |
| Katrina | Blood Rose | orange | The first-formation defender, with an account-wide exploration skill |
Katrina is the defender who actually holds your first formation; Miranda is the one whose talent makes Katrina and everyone else in the faction tougher. Audrey is the half-strength version of Miranda’s talent on a blue hero, the stopgap until Miranda is starred. Elizabeth and Isabella carry the same +10% defence talent for Guard of Order and Wings of Dawn.
Where she lands against the whole roster is on the tier list. For what to do with her in your first day, the beginner’s progression guide covers it.
