Alma is the Season 2 Wings of Dawn hero whose talent gives the whole troop +10% HP when all five heroes are Wings of Dawn, and whose presence unlocks Liliana’s damage resistance, which makes her the glue of a full Wings of Dawn squad.
- Class: DEF
- Faction: Wings of Dawn (Shooter troops)
- Rarity: orange (S)
- Arrived: Season 2, Everfrost
- In one line: the Wings of Dawn troop-HP talent, and the hero Liliana’s talent depends on
Skill numbers on this page are the level 30 values, which is the cap, read from the game in the Dinosaur Origin season (Season 4 where Desert counts, Season 3 where it doesn’t).

What Alma does in Last Z
Alma fights with a golden serpent. Gilded Barrage raises the damage of her normal attacks to a damage factor of 1500 at the cap. Her active sends the serpent to bite and poison enemies, and her stars add more serpents. Serpent’s Sentence raises the health of the Shooters in the troop she leads by 15% at the cap, with stars that add flat Shooter damage on top, and like the other Season 2 marching skills it only works while she’s deployed.
Her talent, Eternal Golden Rule, is why she’s the last piece of a full Wings of Dawn line-up rather than a spare. Deploying five Wings of Dawn heroes boosts the troop’s HP by 10%. It only switches on at five, which is also when Scarlett’s talent pays its capacity bonus, so a squad that’s four Wings of Dawn heroes and one outsider is leaving both on the table.
And she has a partner. Liliana’s talent, Siren Scales, reads “when deployed with Alma”: the Shooters in the troop gain 7.5% damage resistance, and at five stars that extends to every unit type with 7.5% troop capacity on top. Without Alma in the squad, that talent does nothing.
Alma’s best formation and faction pairing
Alma is built for one formation: five Wings of Dawn heroes, with Liliana beside her. That’s where her own talent fires, where Liliana’s fires, and where Scarlett’s per-hero bonus reaches its full +25% attack and defence plus the capacity bonus. The faction triangle applies: Wings of Dawn beats Blood Rose, Blood Rose beats Guard of Order, and Guard of Order beats Wings of Dawn.
The squad she’s built for:
- Scarlett for the per-hero squad bonus.
- Liliana, whose talent needs Alma in the squad to work at all.
- Laura as the defender with attack skills of her own, or Queenie for raw damage.
- Nyx or Amelia for the fifth slot.
If you can’t field five Wings of Dawn heroes yet, her talent isn’t paying, and she’s an ordinary orange defender until you can.
Alma’s skills and stats
| Skill | Type | Unlocks at | What it does at level 30 | What each star adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gilded Barrage | Normal Attack Boost | hero level 1 | Increases normal attacks’ damage factor to 1500. | +90, +90, +90, then +120 and +210 to the damage factor |
| Power of Devour | Active Skill | hero level 20 | Commands the serpent to bite and poison enemies. The damage factor climbs with skill level. | +150 damage factor, serpents +1, +150 damage factor, more serpents, then +300 damage factor |
| Serpent’s Sentence | Active upon marching | hero level 30 | Health of the Shooters in the troop she leads +15%. Applies only while she’s deployed. | Shooter DMG +2%, +3%, +5%, +5%, then +10% |
| Eternal Golden Rule | Exclusive Talent | hero level 50 and 4 stars | Deploying 5 Wings of Dawn heroes boosts troop HP by 10%. | The talent itself; no star steps |
Her attack, defence and troop size climb with her level, stars, skill levels and gear, so the live figures are on her hero card in your own game. As an orange hero she starts well above a purple one and caps higher.
The upgrade order that gets the most out of her:
- Level her to 30 and put skill books into Serpent’s Sentence. Shooter HP for the troop she leads, and its stars are flat Shooter damage on top.
- Level 50 and four stars for Eternal Golden Rule. The whole reason to field her in a full Wings of Dawn squad.
- Power of Devour, then Gilded Barrage. Her own damage.
Best build and gear for Alma
Hero gear fills four slots: Gun, Helmet, Armor and Boots. Armor boosts defence and troop HP, the Helmet attack and defence, the Gun attack, and Boots a mix of all three. Gear levels up with enhancement alloys and promotes with power cores.
Her class is defender and her two support effects are about troop HP, so Armor comes first, the Helmet second, then the Gun for the serpent, and Boots last. If she’s in your first formation she deserves cores; she’s an orange hero holding a slot where her talent and Liliana’s both depend on her.
How to get Alma fragments
Alma is a season hero, the second of Season 2’s three, and the sources that track her agree on the route: the Warrior Battle Pass and the special offers that rotate through the shop. She isn’t a standard recruitment pull.
Once she’s unlocked, the orange fragments the game pays out on a schedule are what you’ll feed her. Most of them are universal and work on any S hero; a few are tied to one hero, so check the item before you count on it.
- Daily Tasks. 150 points on the Daily Tasks page pays one orange fragment.
- Full Preparedness. 18 medals trade for two orange fragments.
- Gold Trucks. Sending and looting them is the steady source most players overlook.
- Weekly gifts. Six orange fragments a week, claimed, not earned.
- The Z Points store sells S fragments five at a time for diamonds. The diamond guide covers whether that’s a good use of them.
- VIP 10 adds daily orange fragments, a route for spenders rather than a plan.
Four stars is the milestone, because that’s where Eternal Golden Rule unlocks.
Is Alma worth it for F2P?
Only once the squad around her exists. Her talent needs five Wings of Dawn heroes to pay anything, her partner Liliana is another season hero, and she comes through a battle pass rather than the free pool. For a free player still assembling the faction, she’s a hero to plan for when her pass rotates round, not one to chase.
For an account that already fields Scarlett, Laura, Nyx and Amelia, she’s the fifth piece that turns a strong squad into a full one: +10% troop HP from her, the capacity bonus from Scarlett, and Liliana’s resistance if Liliana is there too.
Alma vs the alternatives at the same role
| Hero | Faction | Rarity | What she’s for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alma | Wings of Dawn | orange | +10% troop HP at five Wings of Dawn heroes, and Liliana’s partner |
| Bella | Blood Rose | orange | The same talent for Blood Rose, and Licia’s partner |
| Harleyna | Guard of Order | orange | The same talent for Guard of Order, and Dodomeki’s partner |
The three Season 2 heroes are one design in three factions: a troop-HP talent that fires at five matching heroes, and a Season 3 partner whose own talent needs them in the squad. Which one you want is which faction you run. For Wings of Dawn that’s Alma.
Where she lands against the whole roster is on the tier list. For what to do with her in your first day, the beginner’s progression guide covers it.
