Selena’s talent gives every Assaulter unit you own +10% damage whether she’s deployed or not, which makes her worth levelling for any Blood Rose account before you’ve decided whether she fights.
- Class: DPS
- Faction: Blood Rose (Assaulter troops)
- Rarity: orange (S)
- Arrived: Season 1, as a season hero
- In one line: an attacker who makes every Assaulter stronger, deployed or not
Skill numbers on this page are the level 30 values, which is the cap.

What Selena does in Last Z
Selena is a Blood Rose attacker with a war bear. Torn Wound raises the damage of her normal attacks. Wild Summon sends the bear lunging forward to bite, and when it meets an enemy it slams the ground for area damage. Power of Nature raises the defence of the Assaulters in the troop she leads, and it’s the one skill on her card that only works while she’s marching.
Her talent is the reason she’s on the list even for players who never field her. Potential Unleashed raises the damage of all Assaulter units by 10%, and the text says it plainly: regardless of whether Selena is deployed. Every Assaulter in every squad you send out carries that bonus from the day her talent unlocks.
So there are two ways to own her. As a fighter, she’s the Blood Rose attacker whose bear softens a group before the squad arrives. As an account skill, she’s +10% on the whole faction’s troop type, and that one needs her at level 50 with four stars, not in a formation.
Is Selena worth it for F2P?
Yes, with one caveat about getting her and one about the cost. The talent is the prize, and unlike the level-30 Global Effects on heroes like Katrina and Sophia, it sits behind hero level 50 and four stars. That’s a real fragment bill. It’s still worth paying for a Blood Rose account, because +10% Assaulter damage applies to every march, every rally and every defence you’ll ever run, and nothing else in the faction gives it to you.
The getting-her caveat: she’s a season hero, and the sources that track her agree she comes through the Warrior Battle Pass and shop offers rather than the free recruitment pool. If her pass isn’t round yet, build the squad without her and let her talent be the upgrade when she arrives.
Selena’s skills and stats
| Skill | Type | Unlocks at | What it does | What each star adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Torn Wound | Normal Attack Boost | hero level 1 | Increases normal attacks’ damage factor to 1500 at level 30. | +90, +90, +90, then +120 and +210 to the damage factor |
| Wild Summon | Active Skill | hero level 20 | Commands the war bear to lunge forward and bite, then slam the ground on contact for area damage at damage factor 2400 at level 30. | +150 damage factor, damage range +30%, +150 damage factor, ground slam count +2, then +300 damage factor |
| Power of Nature | Active upon marching | hero level 30 | Raises the defence of the Assaulters in the troop she leads. The bonus climbs with skill level and applies only while she’s deployed. | Assaulter ATK +5%, +5%, +10%, +10%, then +15% |
| Potential Unleashed | Exclusive Talent | hero level 50 and 4 stars | Regardless of whether Selena is deployed, all Assaulter units’ damage increases by 10%. | The talent itself; no star steps |
Her attack, defence and troop size climb with her level, stars, skill levels and gear, so the live figures are on her hero card in your own game. As an orange hero she starts well above a purple one and caps higher.
The upgrade order that gets the most out of her:
- Level her to 50 and get her to four stars. The talent is the whole reason to own her, and it needs both.
- Power of Nature next, if she leads a squad. Its star bonuses are flat Assaulter attack, which every Blood Rose squad she marches with collects.
- Wild Summon, then Torn Wound. Her own damage, for when she’s in the fight.
If she’s an account skill and nothing more, the first step is the whole plan.
Best build and gear for Selena
Hero gear fills four slots: Gun, Helmet, Armor and Boots. The Gun boosts attack, the Helmet attack and defence, Armor defence and troop HP, and Boots a mix of all three. Gear levels up with enhancement alloys and promotes with power cores.
Her talent doesn’t read her gear, so if she’s in the barracks for the +10%, give her none. If she fights, build her as the attacker she is: Gun first, Helmet second, then Boots, Armor last. Her bear does the crowd work; her own stats decide how hard the rest of her hits.
Selena’s best formation and faction pairing
A formation carries five heroes and their troops, and Blood Rose heroes field Assaulters. Selena’s talent already pays whether she marches or not, so the question is what she adds by being in the squad: her own damage, the bear, and Power of Nature’s Assaulter defence for the troop she leads.
The faction bonuses are the reason to keep the squad Blood Rose. Oliveira’s talent gives the troop +5% attack and defence for every Blood Rose hero deployed and +10% capacity at five. Bella’s gives +10% troop HP at five. The faction triangle applies as always: Wings of Dawn beats Blood Rose, Blood Rose beats Guard of Order, and Guard of Order beats Wings of Dawn.
Who to put beside her, keeping the squad Blood Rose:
- Oliveira first. Her talent is the squad bonus itself.
- Katrina as the defender.
- Sophia or Yu Chan for damage.
- Bella for the fifth slot if you have her, for the troop HP bonus at five Blood Rose heroes.
How to get Selena fragments
Selena is a season hero. The sources that track her agree on the route: the Warrior Battle Pass and the special offers that rotate through the shop. She isn’t a standard recruitment pull.
Once she’s unlocked, the orange fragments the game pays out on a schedule are what you’ll feed her, and she needs more of them than most, since her talent waits at four stars. Most orange fragments are universal and work on any S hero; a few are tied to one hero, so check the item before you count on it.
- Daily Tasks. 150 points on the Daily Tasks page pays one orange fragment.
- Full Preparedness. 18 medals trade for two orange fragments.
- Gold Trucks. Sending and looting them is the steady source most players overlook.
- Weekly gifts. Six orange fragments a week, claimed, not earned.
- The Z Points store sells S fragments five at a time for diamonds. The diamond guide covers whether that’s a good use of them.
- VIP 10 adds daily orange fragments, a route for spenders rather than a plan.
Selena vs the alternatives at the same role
| Hero | Faction | Rarity | What she’s for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selena | Blood Rose | orange | +10% damage to every Assaulter unit, deployed or not |
| Sakura | Guard of Order | orange | The same talent for Rider units |
| Nyx | Wings of Dawn | orange | The same talent for Shooter units |
The three of them are one design in three factions: an attacker whose talent buffs her faction’s troop type across the whole account. Which one you want is which troops you train. For a Blood Rose account that’s Assaulters, and that’s Selena.
Inside her own faction, nothing else does this. Oliveira makes the squad stronger by standing in it; Selena makes the Assaulters stronger by existing. Run both and the Blood Rose troop collects every bonus the faction has.
Where she lands against the whole roster is on the tier list. For what to do with her in your first day, the beginner’s progression guide covers it.
