Laura is the Wings of Dawn defender whose third skill hands you free radar events every day and more EXP from each one, account-wide, which makes her worth level 30 on any account that runs its radar.
- Class: DEF
- Faction: Wings of Dawn (Shooter troops)
- Rarity: orange (S)
- Arrived: the base roster
- In one line: a defender with an explosive bow and the radar account skill
Skill numbers on this page are the level 30 values, which is the cap.

What Laura does in Last Z
Laura is a hunter with a bow. Hunter’s Instinct raises the damage of her normal attacks to a damage factor of 1500 at the cap. Arrow Shower is her active: she charges up and fires a volley of explosive arrows forward for three seconds at damage factor 2400, and her stars widen the volley and set the arrows burning. Her talent, Potential Unleashed, buffs her own attack, defence and troop capacity.
Hunter’s Gift is the account skill. It’s a Global Effect that gives you 20 radar events for free every day and raises the EXP you earn from radar missions, climbing with every skill level. Its stars add more free missions, more EXP, and at the fifth an extra exploration chest for completing radar missions. It runs whether she marches or not.
So, like Katrina in Blood Rose and Mia in Guard of Order, she’s a defender whose combat skills hit harder than her class suggests, carrying an account skill most players level her for. Radar missions are a steady source of EXP and rewards, and she’s the hero who makes them cheaper and richer.
Laura’s skills and stats
| Skill | Type | Unlocks at | What it does at level 30 | What each star adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hunter’s Instinct | Normal Attack Boost | hero level 1 | Increases normal attacks’ damage factor to 1500. | +90, +90, +90, then +120 and +210 to the damage factor |
| Arrow Shower | Active Skill | hero level 20 | Charges up and shoots numerous explosive arrows forward at damage factor 2400, lasting 3 seconds. | +150 damage factor, range +30%, +150 damage factor, a burning effect, then +300 damage factor |
| Hunter’s Gift | Global Effect | hero level 30 | Receives 20 radar events for free daily, and raises EXP yields from radar, climbing with skill level. | Free mission count +5, EXP yields from radar +10%, +10% again, free mission count +10, then an extra exploration chest for completing radar missions |
| Potential Unleashed | Exclusive Talent | hero level 50 and 4 stars | Self ATK +10%, DEF +10% and troop capacity +5%. | The talent itself; no star steps |
Her attack, defence and troop size climb with her level, stars, skill levels and gear, so the live figures are on her hero card in your own game. As an orange hero she starts well above a purple one and caps higher.
The upgrade order that gets the most out of her:
- Level her to 30. Hunter’s Gift switches on there, and the free radar events start arriving.
- Skill books into Hunter’s Gift. More EXP from every radar mission you were going to run anyway.
- Stars, as fragments allow. The first and fourth add free missions every day; the fifth adds a chest to each one.
- Level 50 and four stars for Potential Unleashed, if she fights for you.
- Arrow Shower, then Hunter’s Instinct. Her own damage.
Is Laura worth it for F2P?
Yes. Hunter’s Gift needs only hero level 30 and skill books, and 20 free radar events a day is a resource a free player would otherwise be spending fuel on. The EXP bonus compounds on every mission. The sources that track her list recruitment tickets and the shop’s special offers as the routes, so she’s one of the heroes a free account reaches without waiting for a pass.
Best build and gear for Laura
Hero gear fills four slots: Gun, Helmet, Armor and Boots. Armor boosts defence and troop HP, the Helmet attack and defence, the Gun attack, and Boots a mix of all three. Gear levels up with enhancement alloys and promotes with power cores.
If she’s your radar skill and nothing more, give her no gear; Hunter’s Gift doesn’t read her stats. If she fights, she’s a defender whose two combat skills are about her own damage, so the Gun and Helmet come first, Armor third, Boots last.
How to get Laura fragments
Laura comes through recruitment tickets and the shop’s special offers, according to the sources that track her. Once she’s unlocked, the orange fragments the game pays out on a schedule are what you’ll feed her. Most of them are universal and work on any S hero; a few are tied to one hero, so check the item before you count on it.
- Daily Tasks. 150 points on the Daily Tasks page pays one orange fragment.
- Full Preparedness. 18 medals trade for two orange fragments.
- Gold Trucks. Sending and looting them is the steady source most players overlook.
- Weekly gifts. Six orange fragments a week, claimed, not earned.
- The Z Points store sells S fragments five at a time for diamonds. The diamond guide covers whether that’s a good use of them.
- VIP 10 adds daily orange fragments, a route for spenders rather than a plan.
Laura’s best formation and faction pairing
A formation carries five heroes and their troops, and Wings of Dawn heroes field Shooters. Keep the squad Wings of Dawn for the faction’s own bonuses: Scarlett’s talent gives the troop +5% attack and defence for every Wings of Dawn hero deployed and +10% capacity at five, Nyx’s gives every Shooter +10% damage from the barracks, and Alma’s gives +10% troop HP at five. The faction triangle applies: Wings of Dawn beats Blood Rose, Blood Rose beats Guard of Order, and Guard of Order beats Wings of Dawn, so this squad is at its best against Blood Rose and at a disadvantage against Guard of Order.
Who to put beside her, keeping the squad Wings of Dawn:
- Scarlett first, for the squad bonus.
- Amelia for damage, with her research skill levelled anyway.
- Nyx for the Shooter damage buff.
- Queenie for raw damage, or Alma for the troop HP at five.
Laura vs the alternatives at the same role
| Hero | Faction | Rarity | What she’s for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Laura | Wings of Dawn | orange | The Wings of Dawn defender, with the radar skill |
| Katrina | Blood Rose | orange | The Blood Rose defender, with the exploration skill |
| Mia | Guard of Order | orange | The Guard of Order defender, with the vehicle-modification skill |
Three factions, three orange defenders, three account skills. Which one you build is which faction you run, and a map-focused account ends up levelling all three to 30 for the skills alone. Inside Wings of Dawn, Isabella is the purple defender whose talent makes Laura and everyone else in the faction tougher; the two aren’t rivals for a slot.
Where she lands against the whole roster is on the tier list. For what to do with her in your first day, the beginner’s progression guide covers it.
