Evelyn in Last Z: Survival Shooter

Evelyn in Last Z: the Guard of Order squad talent, her Rider training skill, her rockets, how to build around her, and the F2P verdict.

Evelyn is the hero a Guard of Order squad is built around: her talent pays the troop +5% attack and defence for every Guard of Order hero deployed, and her third skill trains Riders faster for the whole account.

  • Class: DPS
  • Faction: Guard of Order (Rider troops)
  • Rarity: orange (S)
  • Arrived: Season 1, as a season hero
  • In one line: the Guard of Order squad bonus, with a training-speed skill for the base

Skill numbers on this page are the level 30 values, which is the cap.

What Evelyn does in Last Z

Evelyn carries a rocket launcher. Heavy Armor Soldier raises the damage of her normal attacks to a damage factor of 1500 at the cap. Fire Suppression is her active: eleven rockets into the blast area at damage factor 2400, and her stars add more rockets. Queen’s Orders is her Global Effect, raising the Rider Camp’s training speed for the whole account, up to 70% at the cap, whether she marches or not.

Her talent is what makes her the centre of a Guard of Order line-up. Potential Unleashed gives the troop +5% attack and +5% defence for every Guard of Order hero deployed, and when all five slots are Guard of Order it adds +10% troop capacity. That’s the squad bonus itself, the same design Oliveira carries for Blood Rose and Scarlett for Wings of Dawn.

So she’s two investments: the hero who makes Rider training time disappear, and the slot that makes the other four Guard of Order heroes worth matching.

Evelyn’s best formation and faction pairing

A formation carries five heroes and their troops, and Guard of Order heroes field Riders. Evelyn’s talent counts every Guard of Order hero beside her, so the first rule is to fill the other four slots from her faction. At five, the troop collects +25% attack and defence from her alone, plus the capacity bonus.

The rest of the faction stacks on top: Sakura’s talent gives every Rider +10% damage whether or not she’s deployed, and Harleyna’s gives +10% troop HP at five. The faction triangle applies: Guard of Order beats Wings of Dawn, Wings of Dawn beats Blood Rose, and Blood Rose beats Guard of Order, so this squad is at its best against Wings of Dawn and at a disadvantage against Blood Rose.

Who to put beside her, keeping the squad Guard of Order:

  • Mia as the defender, with attack skills of her own.
  • Sakura for the Rider damage every troop collects.
  • Chinatsu or Amber for damage: Chinatsu if her duel skill is levelled anyway, Amber for the Season 4 hitting power.
  • Harleyna for the fifth slot if you have her, for the troop HP at five.

With fewer than five Guard of Order heroes, keep Evelyn in regardless. Her bonus pays per hero, so three is still +15% attack and defence.

Evelyn’s skills and stats

Potential UnleashedExclusive Talenthero level 50 and 4 starsFor every Guard of Order hero deployed, the troop’s ATK and DEF increase by 5%. With 5 Guard of Order heroes, troop capacity +10%.The talent itself; no star steps

Her attack, defence and troop size climb with her level, stars, skill levels and gear, so the live figures are on her hero card in your own game. As an orange hero she starts well above a purple one and caps higher.

The upgrade order that gets the most out of her:

  1. Level her to 30. Queen’s Orders switches on there.
  2. Skill books into Queen’s Orders. Faster Rider training for the account.
  3. Stars, for the Queen’s Orders bonuses. The first is +20% training speed; the second and fourth add Rider defence and attack your troops carry into every fight.
  4. Level 50 and four stars for Potential Unleashed. If she leads your Guard of Order squad, this is the one that matters most.
  5. Fire Suppression, then Heavy Armor Soldier. Her own damage.

Best build and gear for Evelyn

Hero gear fills four slots: Gun, Helmet, Armor and Boots. The Gun boosts attack, the Helmet attack and defence, Armor defence and troop HP, and Boots a mix of all three. Gear levels up with enhancement alloys and promotes with power cores.

Her own damage comes from the rockets and her normal attacks, so if she fights, the Gun comes first and the Helmet second. Her talent doesn’t read her stats; it reads how many Guard of Order heroes stand beside her. If the squad’s damage comes from Amber or Chinatsu, Evelyn’s gear can wait behind theirs without the squad losing anything. If she’s only your training skill and never marches, give her none.

How to get Evelyn fragments

Evelyn is a season hero, and the sources that track her agree on the route: the Warrior Battle Pass and the special offers that rotate through the shop. She isn’t a standard recruitment pull.

Once she’s unlocked, the orange fragments the game pays out on a schedule are what you’ll feed her. Most of them are universal and work on any S hero; a few are tied to one hero, so check the item before you count on it.

  • Daily Tasks. 150 points on the Daily Tasks page pays one orange fragment.
  • Full Preparedness. 18 medals trade for two orange fragments.
  • Gold Trucks. Sending and looting them is the steady source most players overlook.
  • Weekly gifts. Six orange fragments a week, claimed, not earned.
  • The Z Points store sells S fragments five at a time for diamonds. The diamond guide covers whether that’s a good use of them.
  • VIP 10 adds daily orange fragments, a route for spenders rather than a plan.

Four stars is the milestone that matters most for her, because that’s where the squad talent unlocks.

Is Evelyn worth it for F2P?

If you have her, yes, twice over: the training skill from level 30, and the squad talent for any Guard of Order account. The caveat is getting her, since she comes through the battle pass and shop offers rather than the free pool. A free player either waits for her pass to come round or builds the Guard of Order squad with Mia and Sakura until she arrives, and the squad bonus is what you’ll feel the day she does.

Evelyn vs the alternatives at the same role

HeroFactionRarityWhat she’s for
EvelynGuard of OrderorangeThe Guard of Order squad bonus, plus Rider training speed
OliveiraBlood RoseorangeThe same talent for Blood Rose, plus Assaulter training speed
ScarlettWings of DawnorangeThe same talent for Wings of Dawn, plus Shooter training speed

The three of them are the same hero in three colours: the per-faction-hero squad bonus and a training-speed skill for the faction’s troop type. The only question is which faction you run. For Guard of Order, Evelyn is the one.

Where she lands against the whole roster is on the tier list. For what to do with her in your first day, the beginner’s progression guide covers it.
